Transfer design

Sky:    White + tch Thalo Blue + tch Burnt Umber  (this is a light gray/Blue.
Add some White Wispys for subtle clouds

Far Mountains:    This is a slightly darker version of the sky color

Mid Range Mountains:      Above colors but a little darker (objects are darker as they are closer to the viewer).  Come back with white on a corner-loaded brush to highlight the Left sides of the mountains.

Back Water:  Thalo Blue + tch BU+White
     1)   Water is darkest at the horizon line then gets horizontally streaked with lighter value (+White) to signify distant waves.
     2)   Use upward strokes where water splashes at base of mid-level mountains – froth is White + tch YO  – highlight w/ White

Rocks on the Right:  Place darks first, on Right side (shadow side.) with a flat brush (Thalo Blue+BU).   Use flat strokes in all directions.   Highlight on Left side with White + YO, & using same flat strokes to make angles on rocks.  Blend between lights & darks with dry-wiped flat brush (very lightly). Rocks on Left side:  Dark side is on the Left (TB+BU+tch Wht).  Highlight w/White+Dark mix + more TB

Mid-Level Water – This is the over-flow of the wave above the big wave froth.  Thalo Blue + tch BU, White+tch YO, White

Foreground water:  Various mixes of Thalo Blue+ BU+ Sap Green+ Turquoise.  Stroke these colors in upward, diagonal strokes toward top of wave.  Also, be sure to place some very dark  color under the front edge of where the big wave will be.

Water Rivulets on Left side Rocks:  Lightly drag some of the same water colors in a dry-brush method, between & over the rocks.  See picture

Big Wave:  Use corner of a fan brush to place shadows within the foam using Thalo Blue+ Turq. + tch BU +White.

Using the corner of the fan brush again, place white highlights over all, allowing the shadows to show thru

Birds:  Place white with a liner brush.  Go back & touch tips of wings & under head with very thin dark made from TB+BU.

Happy  Painting!!
