Christmas Mice

Colors:  White, Black, gray, sap green, Christmas (bright) red, Ultramarine Blue, 

Other supplies:  transfer paper, foam dauber

Background

Paint entire canvas or board with Medium Blue created by adding UMB to White.  Dry   Transfer design.  Scumble background loosely (follow picture) with White paint (dry brush look).

Snowballs

Undercoat the large snowball with pale gray (white+ tch Black + tch UMB).  Pickup  this same mix on your dauber and undercoat the small snowballs.  Let dry.  Repaint with pure white on all.

Snow Flakes

Spatter all with thinned white paint & a fan brush,  Note:  Load brush with thinned white paint and pull back toward you with your finger or a ruler to create the look.

Mice

Base with medium gray (white + tch Black),  Highlight with White, shade under arms, highlight with base mix + white

     Eyes:   Black w/ White life light
     Whiskers & mouth:  Black with a fine liner brush.
     Inside Ears:  Pink (white + tch Red)

Candy Cane Sleigh

Base in white,  DryPaint stripes on with bright red

 Runners:   Black with a liner brush

Hats

White fur is tube White for texture.     Hat itself os 2 layers of Red.  Dry in between

Scarves

Various colors (as you wish)

Finish Details

Spatter snowflakes with glue,   Sprinkle with glitter

Snowballs:  Lightly paint on glue.  Sprinkle with glitter.

Have fun with this one.  Other surfaces like trays and wooden boxes are also good surfaces.
