Prep
Colors: White, Black, Dioxazine Purple, Cad Red Lt., Cad orange, Cad Yellow Deep, Chrome Ox. Green, Yellow Ochre

Sketch in Line for horizon Paint Canvas with Cad Yellow Deep. Dry
Paint lower part of canvas with Purple, Black & CRLt Dry
Cut a circle from Contact Paper and place so that the moon is partly below the horizon/ most of it above.
Sky
Lay in alternating loose stripes of Dioxazine Purple (at top), then cad red lt., then Cad Orange and the Cad Yellow Deep nearest horizon. Allow these stripes to be interwoven (think sunset clouds). Go right over the Contact paper moon.
While still wet (lightly spritz if necessary) paint over all of the sky with White so that it blends with the colors on there, but makes them a little lighter. Dry
Remove backing from CP Moon (a straight pin will help). Use Yellow Ochre to add some shading.
Brighten sky colors as desired and pull a few Purple (clouds) over the moon.
Sketch Foreground
Use chalk pencil or chalk. This is a scary picture so don’t stress

Foreground
Scumble over foreground with various colors to lighten slightly. Dry .
Tree
Paint trunk in with Black, highlight with Purple & Red.
Paint the branches, using a wooden skewer, dipped in a bit of black paint. Use a twisting & pulling motion, from the tip, allowing the paint to come off making jagged lines for tree branches.
Pumpkins & Jack-o-lantern
Paint these in with Cad Or & Cad Red Lt. this will probably take several layers as both of these colors are transparent. Stems are Chrome Ox Green + CYD.
Add some vines here and there with Chrome Ox. Green + CYD
Jack-O-Lantern
Base with CRLt and COr. As above, it will take a couple of coats. Dry between.
Mouth, Eyes & Nose are Cad Yellow Deep, CRLt
Outline all features with Black
CAT & Fences
Sketch – then paint in with black, highlight w/ CRLt, purple, tch of CYD
