Brushes & Strokes

I used  1/2″ & 1″  wide brushes for the  Ribbon, Leaves & tulip petals.

Pick 1 or 2 colors together on your brush, touch to canvas,  flatten and pull outward to create a point, for leaves & ribbons.

Flower Petals:   Pull upward for back petals.  For front petals, touch loaded brush  (on edge) to one side & pull down and across. to create a semi- cupped -shaped petal.  Pull petals from left side and then Right side.

Ribbon:     Aqua & White             Hi/light/ White              Shade/Purple

Place Stems & Leaves:              Chrome Ox. Green
                                                              Shade/ Purple            hilt/ White + YO

Tulips:        Base Color:   Cad Red Lt. + Magenta + white
Highlights:  Various shades of  above + White
                       Shade:   Base + Purple
Use a flat brush.   Begin with back petals and darkest shades of mixes.  Then, dry-wipe your brush (no water) & pick up lighter shades & place front petals.  Use several shades of color on each petal for variety.

Baby’s Breath:    Use the corner of a sea sponge.  Use White, YO, DP
Pick up all the colors on the sponge, 1 at a time,(not mixed)
             Touch lightly to area desired
             Pickup more White to highlight
             Add touches of Green

Finishes:      Add decorative elements, if desired:
Rosebuds & Leaf edging or other
                         Lettering

So get out your paints and have fun with this!
